After 29 years, THE SANTA CLAUS PARADE makes a joyful homecoming to CTV airing coast to coast on CTV as follows:

Ontario and Quebec: 4:30 – 6 p.m.
Manitoba / Saskatchewan / Alberta / British Columbia: 4 – 6 p.m.

/A\ Atlantic: 5 – 7 p.m.
And for the first time in almost 25 years, the Parade will also air LIVE in the Greater Toronto Area on CP24 on Sunday, Nov. 21 from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. and CP24.com, with an encore broadcast from 7 - 9 p.m. on CP24.

With higher than ever production values, CTV takes viewers inside the PARADE with more than 12 cameras, 100 crew members and a view from the CTV chopper, delivering the magic of Santa Claus like never before. Hosted by CTV Toronto’s Ken Shaw and CP24’s Melissa Grelo, the broadcast includes special reports from CP24’s Nneka Elliot, TSN’s Gino Reda, and Aliya-Jasmine Sovani from MTV News.

“CTV is dedicated to capturing the moments and memories of this annual holiday tradition and sharing the magic with viewers across the country,” said Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels, CTV Inc.

The Santa Claus Parade will receive the support of CTV’s cross-promotional resources to support the broadcast. Early risers can look forward to stories on CANADA AM, including behind the scenes from Santa’s workshop; CTV News brings viewers stories on the volunteers who put the Parade together each ear and facts on float building; Discovery Channel’s DAILY PLANET, SPACE’s INNERSPACE, and CTV’s ETALK also deliver Parade extras leading up to the big day.

In addition to robust on-air support, CTV has created a special website at santa.ctv.ca where visitors can watch Parade footage, check out CTV News stories on the event and preparations, upload photos including shots from the Parade, check out the Parade route and download a very festive iPhone App. Viewers can also send photos from the Parade to santa@cp24.com for a chance to have their favourite moments included in the live on-air show on CP24.

Since 1905, the Toronto Santa Claus Parade has made its way through the streets of downtown Toronto, dazzling spectators with an array of magical floats, bands and clowns, and of course – Santa – delivering a joyous holiday occasion not to be missed. Now in its 106th year, The Santa Claus Parade is the largest Parade in Canada and the most popular holiday Parade of its kind in the world.
