In this special episode, APP CENTRAL co-host Michael Hainsworth travels to the California headquarters of Google to catch the creative wave of this innovative team. Hainsworth talks tech with John Langerling, the Director of Android Global Partnerships. Then he talks TV with YouTube’s Shivia Rajaraman and finds out why people have become their own video curators, before getting the insider scoop on ways the YouTube team is working to make the user experience more slick everyday.

Ever been told to “Just Google It?” Hainsworth knows just the guy! Yury Pinksy, Product Manager for Google’s Mobile Search division, is paying close attention to users search patterns and explains how Google is made a little bit smarter with every search. To conclude his insider trip, Hainsworth makes a Canadian connection with Chris Elliott, a graduate of the University of Waterloo and credited with making the Android Robot Disco Dance, who gives APP CENTRAL a private dance demo.

Meanwhile, north of the boarder, Amber MacArthur tours Google’s Canadian head office with Stergios Anastasiadis and gets the latest scoop on Google+ the fast growing social networking offering from Google. Moving right along, Rick Byers, Software Engineer for Chrome, explains the Chrome web store and why their apps have a vivid look and feel. Finally, MacArthur talks with Matthew Izatt, Product Manager for Gmail, who explains how Gmail is all grown-up and is now on any mobile device.

Also in this episode, catch the season’s final segment of Old vs. New as Google Earth is pitted against a paper map with APP CENTRAL producer Michael Bancroft challenging Director of Geo Maps for Google, Chikai Ohazama.
