CTV Programming Highlights: Jan. 5 – 15

Cheers to a New Year as CTV begins January with the super-simulcast series premiere of the sexy and daring relationship drama THE L.A. COMPLEX. Also, awards season kicks off with a night full of the brightest stars as THE 69TH GOLDEN GLOBE® AWARDS broadcasts live across the country, and Canada’s favourite series return with all-new episodes.

• David Gallagher (7TH HEAVEN) guest stars on CSI: NY (Jan. 6)
• The risqué original scripted series THE L.A. COMPLEX premieres in a special, super-simulcast premiere event on CTV and MuchMusic (Jan. 10)
• Alex (Chris D'Elia) refuses to share the password to his phone on WHITNEY on a new day and time (Jan. 10)
• Chris and Reagan’s New Year’s Eve game night doesn’t go according to plan on UP ALL NIGHT on a new day and time (Jan. 12)

Thursday, Jan. 5
9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “Suddenly” – NEW EPISODE
In the wake of a horrific crash, the doctors work together to save the lives of a family. Meanwhile, Teddy (Kim Raver) continues her surgery in the O.R., completely unaware of Henry's (Scott Foley) death.

Friday, Jan. 6
8 p.m. – CSI: NY – “Clean Sweep” – NEW EPISODE
A charred body turns into a hot mess for the CSIs when it appears a cage fighter has been murdered by his stalker. David Gallagher (7TH HEAVEN) guest stars as Marty Bosch, a possible suspect.

10 p.m. – BLUE BLOODS – “Whistle Blower” – NEW EPISODE
When Erin's (Bridget Moynahan) informant is murdered, she blames herself and works to help Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) discover who killed him.

Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) take opposite sides when Emma (Jennifer Morrison) runs for public office. Meanwhile, back in the fairytale world that was, Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) tries to track down a powerful source to keep his son from fighting in a meaningless war. Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers) guest stars as an old beggar.

9 p.m. – DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES – “What’s to Discuss, Old Friend” – NEW EPISODE
With a gun at her side, Bree (Marcia Cross) prepares to end it all now that her friends have abandoned her and her life continues to spiral further into despair. Meanwhile, Gaby (Eva Longoria) suspects that Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) may have had something to do with detective Vance's (Jonathan Cake) murder.

10 p.m. – PAN AM – “Secrets and Lies” – NEW EPISODE
Secrets abound as Dean (Mike Vogel) and Colette's (Karine Vanasse) romance is threatened. Meanwhile, Maggie's (Christina Ricci) love life heats up and Ted (Michael Mosley) falls hard, but not for Laura (Margot Robbie). Ashley Greene (Twilight) continues her guest starring role.

Monday, Jan. 9
10 p.m. – CASTLE – “Till Death Do Us Part” – NEW EPISODE
When a bachelor is killed, Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) suspect that the victim's mysterious double life holds the key to his murder. Their investigation leads to a shocking twist that threatens to disrupt Ryan's (Seamus Dever) wedding with Jenny (guest star Juliana Dever, Seamus Dever’s real-life wife).

Tuesday, Jan. 10
8 p.m. – WHITNEY – “Private Parts” – NEW EPISODE – NEW DAY AND TIME
When Alex (Chris D'Elia) refuses to share the password to his phone, Whitney (Whitney Cummings), who believes that they should share everything, becomes upset. Deciding they both need some solo time, they each plan a night out without each other – but when Whitney comes home early she finds Alex in a compromising position.

8:30 p.m. – HOT IN CLEVELAND – “Where’s Elka” – SEASON 2, PART 2 PREMIERE
Elka (Betty White) has gone missing and the women look for her in Amish country. Meanwhile, Joy (Jane Leeves) is a source of scandal as the Governor’s alleged mistress and faces deportation while Victoria (Wendie Mallick) finds herself a little too at home with the Amish.

9 p.m. – THE L.A. COMPLEX – “Down in LA” – SERIES PREMIERE
The hot new original drama THE L.A. COMPLEX premieres in a special super-simulcast with MuchMusic. During the first episode of this sexy six-part, hour-long drama, Abby (Cassie Steele) is evicted, broke and desperate in Los Angeles, and finds a place to crash at “The Lux” motel in Hollywood, California. There, she meets a group of like-minded, displaced dreamers. After a series of missed opportunities, mishaps, and a broken-down vehicle, Abby starts to wonder if it’s time to go back to Toronto and give up her dreams, or if tomorrow will be her day? The series continues on MuchMusic.

10 p.m. – UNFORGETTABLE – “Brotherhood” – NEW EPISODE
A routine investigation into a college student's death takes a disturbing turn for Carrie (Poppy Montgomery) when a suspect makes a dangerous move to outwit her memory.

Wednesday, Jan. 11
9 p.m. – CTV MOVIE – MISS CONGENIALITY (2000)
In MISS CONGENIALITY, FBI agent Gracie Heart (Academy Award®-winner Sandra Bullock, The Blind Side) must go undercover in the Miss United States beauty pageant to prevent a group from bombing the event.

Thursday, Jan. 12
8 p.m. – THE BIG BANG THEORY – “The Shiny Trinket Manoeuvre” – NEW EPISODE
Sheldon (Jim Parsons) gets in trouble with Amy (Mayim Bialik) when he isn't impressed by her recent accomplishment. Meanwhile, Howard (Simon Helberg) must come to grips with Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) dislike of children.

8:30 p.m. – UP ALL NIGHT – “New Year’s Eve” – NEW EPISODE – NEW DAY AND TIME
Reagan's (Christina Applegate) extreme competiveness comes out at a New Year's Eve game night, much to Chris's (Will Arnett) embarrassment. Meanwhile, Kevin (guest star Jason Lee) worries that Ava (Maya Rudolph) is ashamed of him and Missy (Jennifer Hall) brings an unexpected date to the party.

9 p.m. – GREY’S ANATOMY – “This Magic Moment” – NEW EPISODE
The doctors work together to save the lives of conjoined twins and Teddy (Kim Raver) continues to question the circumstances surrounding Henry’s (Scott Foley, COUGAR TOWN) death.

10 p.m. – THE MENTALIST – “Always Bet on Red” – NEW EPISODE
Jane (Simon Baker) and the CBI must narrow down the long list of suspects after a high-end divorce attorney with many enemies is killed on his speed boat.

Friday, Jan. 13
8 p.m. – CSI: NY – “Who’s There?” – NEW EPISODE
A home invasion investigation becomes more complicated when the victim's family turns out to be less perfect than they originally seem.

9 p.m. – GRIMM – “Game Orge” – NEW EPISODE
An escapee returns to Portland seeking revenge against those who put him behind bars. His unusual strength and high tolerance for pain makes Nick (David Giuntoli) take notice. As the case escalates Nick and Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) are put in danger, and Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) is called into action to help put an end to the convict's deadly rampage.

10 p.m. – BLUE BLOODS – “The Uniform” – NEW EPISODE
Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Jackie (Jennifer Esposito) investigate a murder at a diner where a witness claims he saw an officer flee the scene after shots were fired.

Saturday, Jan. 14

Sunday, Jan. 15
7 p.m. – ONCE UPON A TIME – “True North” – NEW EPISODE
Emma (Jennifer Morrison) tries to help two homeless children find their father before they're separated and put in foster care. Meanwhile, the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) coerces Hansel (Quinn Lord) and Gretel (Karley Scott Collins) into stealing an important artifact from a Blind Witch (guest star Emma Caulfield, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER).

8 p.m. – THE 69TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE® AWARDS – LIVE
Live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, third time is a charm as comedian and GOLDEN GLOBE® recipient Ricky Gervais returns as host for the third year in a row for THE 69TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE® AWARDS. During the most glamorous dinner party of the year, the biggest stars gather to celebrate excellence in the television and film industry. The three-hour live event will also present the Cecil B. DeMille Award to ACADEMY AWARD®-winning actor Morgan Freeman for his outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry.
