About Us
Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium
Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium is the official Canadian broadcaster of the London 2012 Olympic Games. A partnership between leading media conglomerates CTV and Rogers Media Inc., the Consortium provides unprecedented coverage and consumer choice in Canada’s two official languages – English and French, along with numerous other languages on multiple platforms. The Consortium also held the rights for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, during which, it delivered the Top 5 most-watched events in Canadian television history, led by an average audience of 16.7 million viewers for the men’s gold medal hockey game.
Once again, Canadians will be able to enjoy the London 2012 Games on their own terms – watching what they want, when they want, and how they want. Canadians can catch all the action, emotion, and exhilaration of the world’s best athletes beginning July 27, 2012, on the Consortium’s suite of assets. Leading up to the Games, the Consortium offers a comprehensive package of athlete awareness initiatives to engage Canadians in the largest sporting event in the world and get to know their high-performance athletes.
The Consortium’s assets consist of 10 television networks, 10 radio stations, and two official websites. Official brands include CTV, TSN, RDS, RDS Info Sports, Sportsnet, OMNI, OLN, V, ATN, CTVOlympics.ca, RDSolympiques.ca, and select Rogers radio stations across the country.
